I walked into a Catholic elementary school in Durham Region and, on a flagstaff, topped with a Christian cross, a flagstaff that used to have the papal/Vatican flag on it, there is now, instead, a Pride flag.  This struck me as profoundly symbolic:  Not only is the Durham Catholic system actively teaching, promoting, and celebrating delusional notions that are both counter-scientific and counter-Catholic, but it is also communicating, through the flags it displays and the flags it discards, that Catholic Christian teaching and its Biblical tradition are no longer the source of the sexual morality that is taught to Catholic school children from Junior Kindergarten on.  Rather, it is the agenda of the Pride movement that Catholic children in Durham Region are being brought up with from the age of three years on, and this under the label “Catholic”.
